1.School-based and Authentic Learning Materials
Our English department promotes Reading across the Curriculum. Reading strategies are taught and authentic texts are used. These could be seen in the design of our school-based materials.
To increase students’ exposure to real-life language situations, a wide range of authentic reading materials are incorporated into our curriculum. Examples include news reports, articles, magazines, blogs and restaurant reviews.

During Reading Workshops, students experience storytelling, reading aloud, shared reading, guided reading and independent reading. Various co-teaching modes are also employed to cater for students’ multiple learning styles.
